Catholic schools are not just places of academic instruction; they are communities where faith is nurtured and values are instilled. The leaders in Catholic education—trustees, educators, and parents—play a pivotal role in ensuring that these schools remain spaces where students receive both intellectual and spiritual formation. Rooting education in faith, Catholic schools foster not only knowledge but also a deeper connection with Christ.

Leading and supporting Catholic education requires courage, humility, and trust in God’s guidance. It is a shared mission, with each member of the Catholic community contributing to the success of these institutions. Through prayer and discernment, we align our efforts with God’s will, drawing strength from His grace.

Supporting Catholic education extends the Church’s mission to form disciples and guide young people on their academic and spiritual journeys. By working together in faith and love, we ensure that Catholic schools remain pillars of learning and faith formation, helping students grow in both wisdom and holiness.

Your presence at the Summit is essential in reinforcing the importance of Catholic education in shaping both individuals and communities. By gathering to share ideas and insights, we will strengthen our bonds and renew our commitment to the future of Catholic education in Alberta and beyond.

Catholic Education Week holds deep significance for the Catholic community, especially in today’s increasingly secular world. This week stands as a beacon of hope and commitment.

A Time for Unity and Reflection

Catholic Education Week offers a dedicated time for prayer, reflection, and unity within the Catholic community. It celebrates the profound role that Catholic schools play in the formation of young people.

Celebrating the Value of Catholic Education

This week provides an important opportunity to reaffirm the value of Catholic education. Our publicly funded Catholic schools form students to become compassionate, morally grounded individuals who contribute to our society.

A Collective Purpose

Catholic Education Week unites the community to recognize the importance of Catholic education, pray for our students, and seek blessings for the future. It is a time to express gratitude for the opportunities that Catholic education provides and recommit to upholding the values and teachings of the Catholic faith.

“Testify! Share the Reason for Your Hope”

The theme “Testify! Share the Reason for Your Hope” offers a powerful reminder of the responsibility that comes with the privilege of publicly funded Catholic education. It calls for courage to ensure that schools remain true to Church teaching while providing academic excellence.
