Our Lady of Victory Camp, located near Bentley, Alberta, on the Shore of Gull Lake, has an opportunity for a spring and summer Maintenance person to aid the Camp Director with preparing the facilities for campers in the summer season:
The general responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Basic facility safety, maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Mowing and upkeep of grounds.
- Upkeep of vehicles, mowers, tools etc.
- Assisting with basic carpentry, plumbing and painting.
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old, have a driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Has experience with general maintenance.
- Knows how to operate a ride-on lawn tractor, power tools etc. and is comfortable using them.
- Can work well with volunteers and is friendly, well organized, and motivated.
- Must relate well to children, youth, and adults.
- Works well under supervision but able to take the initiative to plan and keep busy.
- Must have a lifestyle that reflects Catholic values, ethics and principles.
Assets:
Experience or training in:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Operation of tractors / chainsaw
- Painting
- First aid / CPR
- WHIMIS
This temporary seasonal position will begin May 1st, 2025, and is expected to continue until August 23rd, 2025. There is only one maintenance position available.
