The following Priest assignments took effect Wednesday, July 13, 2022:
- Rev. Felix KUSAMBA is appointed as Full-Time Priest Chaplain of Royal Alexandra Hospital.
- Rev. Wilson THANKACHAN is appointed as Full-Time Priest Chaplain of University of Alberta Hospital.
The following Priest assignments will take place on the dates listed:
- Rev. Andrew BOGDANOWICZ, Pastor of St. Andrew Parish (Edmonton), is granted a mini-sabbatical leave from July 18 – October 13, 2022.
- Rev. Marcio LUIZ DA COSTA, from the Archdiocese of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, is appointed as Parochial Administrator of St. Andrew Parish (Edmonton) from July 18 – October 13, 2022. He is also temporarily appointed as Associate Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima (Portuguese) Parish (Edmonton), assisting Rev. Sergio Mafra Santos. (June 21)
- Rev. Paul Denni RAMACHAMKUDY, from the Diocese of Vijayapuram in India, is temporarily appointed as Associate Pastor of St. Anthony Parish (Drayton Valley), St. Elizabeth (Evansburg), and St. Agnes (Mayerthorpe), assisting Rev. Felix Devasia. (July 9)
- Rev. Jinu RAJAN, from the Syro-Malankara Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum in India, is temporarily appointed as Associate Pastor of St. Edmund Parish (Edmonton), assisting Rev. Jossy George Thomas. (July 31)
The following are amendments to previously announced assignments:
- Rev. Luan VU will begin his assignment as Pastor of St. Maria Goretti Parish (Devon, Calmar & Thorsby) on August 23, 2022.
- Rev. Garry LABOUCANE, OMI is expected to begin his assignment as Pastor of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Parish (Maskwacis) on August 15, 2022.*
- Rev. Benjamin OBETTA, CFIC is expected to begin his assignment as Associate Pastor of Corpus Christi (Edmonton) on July 25, 2022.*

1. Rev. Roy ANTONY, CFIC, Associate Pastor of St. Theresa’s Parish, Edmonton, is appointed Pastor of Santa Maria Goretti Italian Parish, Edmonton, replacing Rev. George Puramadathil, CFIC, who is reassigned by his religious order. (Effective July 1, 2022)
2. Rev. Curtis BERUBE, Associate Pastor of Holy Family Parish, St. Albert, is appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Peace Parish, Innisfail, replacing Rev. Liju Jose.
3. Rev. JD CARMICHAEL, Associate Pastor of St. Charles Parish, Edmonton, is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Joseph’s Basilica, Edmonton.
4. Rev. Michael Antony CRUZ, SAC, Pastor of St. Anthony Parish, Lloydminster, is appointed Pastor of Holy Family Parish, St. Albert, replacing Rev. Adam Lech, who retires from parish ministry while remaining as Chancellor of the Archdiocese.
5. Rev. Jack HERKLOTZ, OMI, is appointed Pastor of St. Albert Parish, St. Albert, replacing Rev. Ignacy Warias, OMI, who is reassigned by his religious order. (Effective August 1, 2022)
6. Rev. Raja JOHN, SDB, Pastor of St. John Bosco Parish, Edmonton, is also appointed Lead – Parish Formation on the Mission Leadership Team.
7. Rev. Liju JOSE, Pastor of Our Lady of Peace Parish, Innisfail, is appointed Pastor of St. Rose of Lima, Onoway, Our Lady of Lourdes, Lac La Nonne, and St. Joseph, Wabamun-Duffield, replacing Rev. Andrew Rybak, SCH.P, who is retiring from active ministry.
8. Rev. Murray KUEMPER of Madonna House Apostolate is appointed to the Formation Team of St. Joseph Seminary.
9. Rev. Garry LABOUCANE, OMI, is appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Parish, Maskwacis. (Effective July 1, 2022)
10. Rev. Mark McGEE, Pastor of St. Edmund Parish, is appointed Pastor of St. Thomas More Parish, replacing Rev. Mitchell Fidyka, who retired from active ministry. (Effective May 1, 2022)
10. Rev. Chad MICIAK is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Theresa Parish, Edmonton.
11. Rev. Benjamin OBETTA, CFIC, returns to the Archdiocese and is appointed Associate Pastor of Corpus Christi Parish, Edmonton.
12. Rev. Maciej PAJAK OMI is appointed Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Poland, Edmonton, replacing Fr. Daniel Janulewicz OMI, who is reassigned by his religious order. (Effective September 1, 2022)
13. Rev. Arun RODRIGUES, SAC, Pastor of St. Maria Goretti Parish, Devon, is appointed Pastor of St. Anthony Parish, Lloydminster, replacing Rev. Michael Antony Cruz, SAC.
14. Rev. Kristopher SCHMIDT, Pastor of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Camrose, is also appointed Lead – Vocations, replacing Rev. Marc Cramer.
15. Rev. Andrew SZEBLEWSKI, PSS, is appointed to the Formation Team of St. Joseph Seminary.
16. Rev. Jossy George THOMAS, Associate Pastor of Corpus Christi Parish, Edmonton, is appointed Pastor of St. Edmund Parish, Edmonton. (Effective May 1, 2022)
