We are happy to advise that Archbishop Richard Smith has tested negative for infection by the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The Archbishop entered self-isolation on March 12 on the recommendation of his doctor, after he began experiencing the symptoms of a slight cold. He stressed that he never felt seriously ill, but took this measure out of an abundance of caution.

We are grateful for the example His Grace has set for all of us as we consider how best to protect each other during this outbreak. He thanks all those who prayed for him over the last few days.
