Catholic health organizations across Canada mark National Catholic Health Care Week Oct.-28.

Through stories, reflection and prayer, National Catholic Health Care Week also seeks to foster healing and to advance Catholic health care’s commitment to social justice and the values of inclusiveness and compassion, in the spirit of reconciliation.

Within the Edmonton Archdiocese, the Covenant family – Covenant Health, Covenant Care, Covenant Living and Covenant Foundation – is part of the overall mission of the Church to bring Christ to others.

Within Catholic health care, each of us participates in this mission. In this message, Archbishop Smith asks: Is there a need to reconnect with who we are as individuals within the Catholic health care system and our call to be a part of it?

More information about National Catholic Health Care Week, including a social media tool kit, daily prayers and reflections can be found on the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada website.
