Over 200 people gathered for a Advent Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. Rev. Jim Corrigan, vicar-general of the Archdiocese of Edmonton, celebrated Mass Dec. 9 along with Deacon Rene Mella.
All of the people had come to this special Advent Mass remembering those who they had lost. Father Jim encouraged all those listening towards hope — hope in the eternal love waiting for all in God.
After Mass families gathered in fellowship and shared in a generous luncheon sponsored by Park Memorial Funeral Home. Beautiful music was provided by choir and musicians from Annunciation parish.
This was the first time families were able to gather in this way since the COVID pandemic. It was a joyous and long-anticipated time spent together in God’s comforting presence.
