The Kevin Carr Award is awarded to those whose Christian leadership embodies both the values of NTC and the qualities of Kevin Carr, of which Ed and Marie Stelmach are exemplars.

NTC thanks Ed for his career in public service, including his tenure as Premier of Alberta, where his servant leadership was characterized by a genuine desire to uplift and unite others. He remained steadfast in his devotion to his faith and his family in the face of the demands of public life, gathering strength from his shared spiritual journey with Marie.

NTC is also grateful to acknowledge Marie’s quiet dedication and tireless efforts in supporting her family and community, serving as an invaluable pillar in her shared life of service with Ed. She consistently nurtured those around her by extending hospitality and care to countless individuals both in parish life and beyond.

Of further significance is Ed’s service of over a decade on the Covenant Health Board and Marie’s service from 2010-2013 on NTC’s Board of Governors. NTC thanks Ed and Marie for serving as beacons of hope and inspiration throughout their lives.
