    April 23, 9 am – 4 pm Corpus Christi Parish, 2707-34 Street NW, Edmonton Facilitated by: Amanda Achtman Can a Catholic who is considering euthanasia (“MAID”) receive Anointing of the Sick and Last Rites? Can a Catholic who dies by “MAID” receive a Catholic funeral and burial? Why is it wrong to be present at a euthanasia death? What is palliative care? Come explore these questions and more! The workshop will focus on equipping clergy and laity through targeted training, robust catechesis, and hope-oriented pastoral approaches to counter “MAiD's” cultural normalization, while upholding Church teaching on the sanctity of life, accompaniment in suffering, and natural death. Emphasis will be on proactive, positive witness rather than solely reactive prohibition. No cost. Lunch provided. Registration is required.
