• Men’s Prayer Breakfast

St. Andrew's Centre 12720 111 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Forming men through the Archdiocesan Pastoral Priorities The world needs courageous men to witness to Jesus Christ, men need authentic brotherhood, and families need holy husbands and fathers. To help address these needs, Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Assembly #5 is hosting “Come and Have Breakfast” (John 12-21), a Men’s Prayer Breakfast in Edmonton, on Saturday, June 20th. ALL men of ALL ages are invited to this pre-vacation ‘pitstop’, embracing COR principles and the Archdiocesan Pastoral Priorities: Refocus Catholic men on Jesus Christ Formation for Eucharistic Worship Formation for Confident Witness Formation for Service to Families & Marriage Consistent with Dr. Ryan Topping’s message: “If You Want Vocations, Rebuild Catholic Culture” the Event is dedicated to fostering an environment where men can sharpen their worship toolkit, build fellowship, and enjoy a hearty hot breakfast buffet together. The focus on cultivating a space that supports spiritual growth and authentic brotherhood, can help lay the groundwork for vocations and strengthen Catholic culture within our communities. Current registrants represent men of all ages and backgrounds including father-son pairings, clergy, seminarians, high school students, and at least one grandfather -son -grandson combo thus far. In addition to Mass, Rosary and Holy Eucharistic Adoration, attendees will enjoy two keynote addresses: “I Saw You” (John 1:48): Evergreen Catholic Schools chaplain Mike Landry looks at  the parallels between Jesus' call of Nathanael at the beginning of John's Gospel with his own story of faith: how through the twists and turns of life, Jesus was there and guided him to 29 years (and counting) in the service of the Church and Catholic Youth Ministry. “Evangelization Intelligence": Burn The Boats Catholic Ministries founder Kevin Philip will focus on cultivating a keen sense of how, when, and where to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus, consistent with the Archdiocesan principle of becoming a "Confident Witness." You are encouraged to invite your son, grandson, father, nephew, brother, or a friend. Online registration is now available at: events.insogan.org/MB. Please note that seating is limited to 160 participants. Get your tickets now.
