This past year, a series of Will and Estate planning workshops titled “Creating Your Legacy” brought together parishioners eager to learn how they can make a lasting impact on the life of the Church.
Hosted by Lisa Robichaud, Stewardship and Fund Development Lead, the four workshops focused on helping individuals and families understand how thoughtful estate planning can reflect their faith and values.
What began with uncertainty about attendance quickly turned into a source of encouragement, as large and engaged groups gathered across Edmonton to participate.
Presented in collaboration with John Kok, a financial planner with 40 years of experience, and Daylen Lafleur, a lawyer and parishioner at Annunciation Parish, the sessions offered practical guidance on wills, charitable giving, and legacy planning.
Participants were given clear information and the opportunity to ask questions in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Workshops were held at St. John the Evangelist (120 people), St. Thomas More Parish (150 people), Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Sherwood Park (180 people), and St. Joseph’s Basilica(80 people).
The strong attendance and thoughtful engagement at each location, highlighted the deep commitment parishioners have to ensuring the Church’s mission continues for generations to come.
Additional Create Your Legacy Seminars are scheduled as follows:

Saturday, March 14 – 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Parish, Wetaskiwin
