    In “Looking to See”, we will spend time exploring the marvelous collection of visual art at the Star of the North, paying special attention to the artworks that draw us in. We will select a single image and spend focused time with it, moving through the various stages of visio divina. Once the visio is complete, we will shift to written reflections to more fully explore our experience. Finally, there will be an opportunity to share some of our discoveries with the group.   • Listening to Hear: Engaging the Literary Arts as a Spiritual Practice

    Poems are often mysterious things. They can confound and confuse. And yet, because mystery is often embedded in poems, they are rife with material for contemplative practice. In these four sessions, we will explore a few poems using a modified lectio divina. Following this activity, we will have an opportunity for personal poetry writing, using simple structures and easily accessible writing prompts. Sharing is completely optional. Each session will introduce a different poetic form and writing prompts. No experience with poetry reading/writing is necessary to benefit from these sessions.
