St. Michael’s Choir School (SMCS), one of Canada’s most distinguished choral institutions, will join the parish community of St. Joseph’s Basilica in Edmonton for the celebration of the 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The boys of SMCS will lend their voices to the liturgy, offering a rich and prayerful musical contribution to this special Eucharistic celebration.
This special evening is part of St. Michael’s Choir School’s 2025 Wild Rose Tour across Alberta, bringing sacred music to communities in Calgary, Canmore, Grande Prairie, and Edmonton.
Immediately following the Mass, all are invited to return for Adoramus Youth Vespers and Eucharistic Adoration, taking place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Basilica. This contemplative evening will feature the Schola Cantorum of St. Joseph’s Basilica, with the Sacrament of Reconciliation available throughout. Open to youth and community members alike, this gathering offers a moment of stillness, reflection, and sacred beauty.
Following Vespers, participants are warmly invited to a social with light refreshments in the Basilica’s lower hall – an opportunity for fellowship and connection.
