This morning’s Mass for Healing and Hope at Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples brought the community together in observance of #NationalDayforTruthandReconciliation.
Rev. Jim Corrigan, Vicar General of our Archdiocese, was guest presider at the Eucharistic Celebration, joined by Rev. Ken Thorson OMI, Rev. Susai Jesu OMI, Rev. Mark Blom OMI, and Rev. Tesfazghi. In a simple yet heartfelt ceremony, Father Jim was honored with a star blanket, a symbol of honor, respect, and protection in Indigenous culture wrapping him in both the warmth of community and the sacred call to healing and reconciliation.
