Attend the 6th Annual
Mission Collaboration Initiative (MCI) Summit

Thursday, May 28 – Friday, May 29, 2026

The 6th Annual MCI Summit will explore how we can navigate Artificial Intelligence in the digital age through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching, while building a shared understanding of the opportunities, priorities, and emerging challenges facing Catholic works across Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

What is the Mission Collaboration Initiative (MCI)?

MCI is a group of leaders and influencers in Catholic works. As an initiative of the Bishops of Alberta and the Northwest Territories, MCI seeks to anticipate emerging issues in society and collaborate in raising the Catholic perspective. Together, MCI works to provide information, insight, and inspiration to the faithful.

What is the purpose of the 6th Annual MCI Summit?

The summit helps build our common understanding of the current priorities, opportunities, and threats in Catholic works, including education, post-secondary education, health, and social services across Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

This year’s summit focuses on navigating AI in the digital age through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching.

Why do we want you to attend?

The MCI Working Group is seeking insight from both the leaders of Catholic works and those invited to the summit in order to better focus its work. We invite representation from Catholic organizations across Alberta and the Northwest Territories and encourage you to share this invitation with others, both within and beyond your organization, who would benefit from attending.

While it may not be possible or practical for all clergy across the province to attend, we strongly encourage each Deanery to send representatives to the MCI Summit and report back to their communities.
