Website Our Lady of Victory Camp
Our Lady of Victory Camp, located near Bentley, Alberta, on the Shore of Gull Lake, has an opportunity for a spring and summer Maintenance person to aid the Camp Director with preparing the facilities for campers in the summer season. Regular responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Groundswork (mowing, ground repair, deadfall removal, etc)
- Facilities maintenance and repair of basic infrastructure
- Site improvements (painting, aesthetic repairs, etc.)
The successful candidate should either reside within a driveable distance from the camp site or be comfortable with residing on site for the majority of their work-term.
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old, have a driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Has experience with general maintenance.
- Knows how to operate a ride-on lawn tractor, power tools etc. and is comfortable using them.
- Can work well with volunteers and is friendly, well organized, and motivated.
- Must relate well to children, youth, and adults.
- Works well under supervision but able to take the initiative to plan and keep busy.
- Must be able to flexibly adapt to changing maintenance situations.
- Willing to learn on the job.
- Function well under stress/pressure.
Assets:
Experience and/or training in:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Operation of a variety of power tools and vehicles
- Painting
- Small engine repair
- First aid / CPR
- WHIMIS
This temporary seasonal position will begin May 4th, 2026, and is expected to continue until August 22nd, 2025.
