Director of Evangelization and Catechesis – Diocese of Corner Brook and Labrador

Applications are invited for the position of Diocesan Director of Evangelization and Catechesis.

We are seeking an individual with excellent organizational and leadership skills who can work independently. The successful applicant will work in the Diocesan Office in Corner Brook and will report directly to the Bishoр.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) and the incumbent will be expected to work a flexible schedule when necessary. A valid driver’s licence and use of a private vehicle is an ongoing condition of employment. Some travel throughout the Diocese is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide formation, resources and support for Parish Catechetical Programs.
• Provide support to parish sacramental preparation programs.
• Provide support to parish adult faith formation efforts.
• Provide support to parishes to move from a maintenance to a missional model.
• Oversee the Responsible Ministry Policy of the Diocese.
• Maintain the Diocesan Website.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Fully initiated and practicing Catholic; a true love for the Church.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train and develop these skills in others.
• Good organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Degree/certificate and/or experience in catechesis or pastoral ministry.
• Software and computer literacy.
• The ability to collaborate with others to develop and communicate a vision.
