Announcing a Bible study starting January 2026 at St. Anthony’s Church, Edmonton. Please share this news with your network. The Knights of Columbus are facilitating Bible study on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month starting January 10 2026. The study will use The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation (2025), part of the Great Adventure series from Ascension Press. This study teaches Catholics how to read and understand scripture. It introduces the wonderful narrative of the Bible, from Creation to the beginning of our Church, in a way that transforms lives. Participants will gain the confidence to dive even deeper into God’s Word through the mass, their devotions, and their personal study. The Bible Timeline uses high quality materials. Participants can choose between a colour printed or digital workbook that guides their reading of key parts of the Bible. During the meetings, the group discusses their answers to study questions, view video lessons featuring Catholic presenters, and share in fellowship. • Listening to Hear: Engaging the Literary Arts as a Spiritual Practice

Star of the North Retreat Centre 3A St. Vital Avenue, Saint Albert, AB, Canada

Poems are often mysterious things. They can confound and confuse. And yet, because mystery is often embedded in poems, they are rife with material for contemplative practice. In these four sessions, we will explore a few poems using a modified lectio divina. Following this activity, we will have an opportunity for personal poetry writing, using simple structures and easily accessible writing prompts. Sharing is completely optional. Each session will introduce a different poetic form and writing prompts. No experience with poetry reading/writing is necessary to benefit from these sessions.
