This workshop examines the Catholic Social Teachings (CST) using the Church’s “See, Judge, Act” model. Participants identify local and world justice issues (see); discern how these issues make them feel and how their reactions resonate with individual and Church values (judge); and most importantly, commit to using their God given gifts to make a difference (act). This activity provides participants with faith-based tools for discernment to engage with the ethical situations they face in their day-to-day lives and beyond. Mar 19, 2026 05:00 PM MT Development and Peace - Caritas Canada offers many enriching resources to help share the Catholic Social Teachings (CSTs) with people of all ages. Recently, the "CST Tree" workshop has been gaining popularity, creating a "good problem" for animators trying to keep up with the growing demand. Our hope is to create a list of "CST Tree facilitators" who are equipped to lead this workshop in local schools and parishes across the country. Participants in this Zoom session will be invited to become one of these facilitators of the CST Tree Workshop. However, this workshop is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about the activity. No commitment required! REGISTER HERE |

Youth Representatives and Ambassadors of Development and Peace — Caritas Canada from Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Ontario have come together this Lent 2026 to pray and meditate through the Solidarity Way of the Cross, and they invite everyone to join them. When: Friday, March 27, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. ET Where: Online via Zoom The Way of the Cross is an invitation to bear witness to the suffering, death, resurrection, and glory of Jesus Christ. It is through this Paschal Mystery that God chose to create hope. Our witness to this hope is needed now more than ever in a world where hope is in short supply. The hope found in the Way of the Cross is not a naïve or passive hope. Nor is it the hope of the powerful or the privileged. It is a hope that requires much to be created. It is a hope born of sacrifice. God creates hope by joining us in our human suffering and weakness. All the pain and sin of the world were taken into the body of Jesus and nailed to the cross. This supreme sacrifice creates hope for a better world because its logic is not death, but life. REGISTER NOW |
