KAIROS Prairies North Regional Gathering
What can we learn when Indigenous women water protectors from Abya Yala (Colombia) and Turtle Island (Alberta) come together to share stories, teachings and strategies for defending land, water and life?
Join us Saturday, September 12, either in Edmonton or online for a powerful gathering and experience two transformative learning activities:
- The KAIROS Blanket Exercise (in person only), facilitated by Indigenous leaders Taylor Dumais and Preston Huppie, offering an immersive exploration of the history and ongoing impacts of colonization.
- Cuerpo Territorio (Body-Territory) (hybrid), led by facilitators from Abya Yala, inviting participants to explore the profound relationship between body, land, identity and resistance
A facilitated reflection circle will follow, creating space to share insights, build connections and weave together learnings from both experiences.
Location: Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society, 11648 – 85 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta and online
Date & Time: Saturday, September 12; 9 a.m. coffee, 9:30 a.m. start
Cost: $20 (includes lunch) Registration is free for Indigenous people, students and online participants.
