Rite of Election for Rural Parishes
February 22 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

The Rite of Election, part of the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), is a liturgical step where the Church formally ratifies catechumens to receive the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist) at Easter.
Usually held near the first Sunday of Lent, this rite signifies God’s choice of these individuals, who then enroll their names as a pledge of fidelity.
