Life Chain
Life Chain is a peaceful pro-life demonstration in its 35th year in Canada. The very first Life Chain was held in 1987 by a group called ‘Please Let Me Live Inc.’ in Yuba City, California. Participants pray for an end to abortion and for those wounded by it while holding non-graphic signs with messages like “Abortion Kills Children” and “Jesus Forgives & Heals.”
Specific times and locations of the 375+ Life Chains across our nation will be listed on our website (lifechain.ca) later this summer.
On the day of the event, those participating in Life Chain will stand at various predetermined intersections for one hour in quiet prayer, holding non-graphic signs with slogans like: “Abortion Kills Children,” “Abortion Hurts Women,” “Adoption: A Loving Option, and “Jesus Forgives & Heals.” The signs are distributed and collected by a local organizer. This organizer will direct participants and liaise with any law enforcement, business owners, or media.
