Diaconal Ordinations – Daniel Salé and Andrew Sheedy

We are pleased to announce that Daniel Salé and Andrew Sheedy for the Archdiocese of Edmonton will both be ordained as transitional Deacons on July 16, 2026. As ordained Deacons, they each can baptize, witness marriages, preside at funeral services outside of Mass, and preach the homily at Mass.
Daniel Salé born and raised in Edmonton and is a seminarian studying for the Archdiocese of Edmonton, since 2020. Read more about Daniel’s vocation story.
Andrew Sheedy grew up in Derwent, and then St. Albert, and is a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Edmonton, since 2017. Read more about Andrew’s story.
