The Value of Work – Year of St. Joseph Reflection w/ Dcn. Steven Defer
We honour St. Joseph this year as an Archdiocesan family. St. Joseph is the symbol of human work, especially as the Catholic vocation to serve each other. From God’s work of creation to the labour of birth and then to the labour of our daily lives, work is part of our lives, physically, intellectually, and spiritually.
In this video, Deacon Steven Defer uses fishing as a way to reflect on the Catholic perspective on the value of work, the dignity of workers, our attitude to our own work, and the beauty that work can give to us and those we serve.
