CAEDM is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sacramental Records Archives Technician to join our team. You will assist in the maintenance and retrieval of information from sacramental records ensuring preservation and access. This position is full-time (35 hours/week) and onsite, located at 84 Street and 101 Avenue, Edmonton.
Duties
- Reference
- Responds to request for information from sacramental records from original and duplicate copies of sacramental registers held in the Archives.
- Provides on-site reference services pertaining to sacramental records.
- Conservation and Preservation
- Ensures duplicate copies of all sacramental registers are collected from parishes and filed in the Archives annually.
- Digitization of records.
- Environmental management of storage spaces.
- Records Management
- Assists with the transfer of records to semi-active storage or archives and in the preparation of records for destruction.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in:
- Library and Information Studies or Archival Studies; or
- Canadian history
- We will consider equivalent work experience in place of formal education.
- Proficiency in English and French.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in genealogical and historical research.
- Knowledge of the Roman Catholic faith and sacraments.
- Knowledge of Canadian specifically Western Canadian history including the history of the Catholic Church in Western Canada.
- Previous training in digital preservation or records management.
- Internships at libraries, archives, or museums.
- Volunteering with historical societies or community heritage projects.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to read and transcribe cursive script, especially French.

Maintenance Worker (Part-Time) - St. Theresa's Parish
St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Parish has a job opportunity of 25 – 28 hours per week for the position of Maintenance for the parish.
Duties and responsibilities include a wide variety of maintenance jobs both inside and outside including lawn care and snow removal. Some heavy lifting is involved when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
Skills and abilities:
- Knowledge and experience in light maintenance duties such as minor repairs and adjustments to doors, windows, parish fixtures and equipment, minor electrical and plumbing maintenance, minor renovations including painting, patching and repairs to walls, ceilings, flooring, replacement of lamps/light fixtures and bulbs as required
- Related equipment experience including rooftop units and skid steer operation is preferred
- Related experience with grounds keeping such as snow removal and grass cutting
- Have a valid driver’s license and provide your own suitable transportation
- Able to comfortably lift and carry 50 lbs
- Adaptable and reliable
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and logistically with parish team

Parish Pastoral Assistant - Good Shepherd
We have an opportunity for a full-time Pastoral Assistant at Good Shepherd Parish located in Edmonton. This position has a variable schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.
The responsibilities include support for the Pastor of a comprehensive pastoral program for the parish. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Pastor, other parish staff, parish pastoral council and liturgy committees in the overall pastoral care of the parish.
Focus areas include Worship, Sacramental Preparation, Faith Formation, Pastoral Care and School Liaison in accordance with Archdiocesan policies and procedures. Included in this role are responsibilities to assist the Pastor in providing professional operational and administrative support for the parish.
Qualifications:
- Certificate in Catholic Studies or equivalent
- Bachelor degree in Theology or Masters in Divinity is preferred.

Cook (Full-time) - St. Joseph Seminary

Dietary Services is currently looking for a full-time Cook for our St. Joseph Seminary located at 9828 – 84 Street, Edmonton, Alberta.
Note: this position will start in August, but hiring and training will begin earlier.
Under the direction of the Dietary Services Supervisor, this full time position (35 hours/week) will have a schedule primarily on the weekdays. Some additional shifts include support for weekends, holidays, and special events. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Duties
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of providing nourishing daily meals for the seminarians, formation team members at St Joseph Seminary and for the retired priests at the Villa Vianney located on the same property as the Seminary
Qualifications

We have a full-time (35 hours/week) employment opportunity for an experienced individual to work as a team member in providing a wide range of maintenance and repair services of buildings and grounds referred to as The Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton campus, located at 84 Street and 101 Avenue, Edmonton.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Seasonal work such as cutting grass, trimming and pruning trees and hedges, snow clearing of parking lots and sidewalks and cleaning of storage areas.
- Inspecting all buildings on a regular basis,
- Cleaning or changing filters on furnaces and roof top air conditioning/ exchanger units,
- Moving furniture and office equipment, performing minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting assignments.
- Keeps equipment and machinery clean and in good working order and observes security, fire and safety prevention procedures and measures.
Required Qualifications:
- Several years’ experience in general maintenance of buildings, facilities and grounds is preferred.
- Experience in safe operation of machinery such as lawnmowers, tractors, snowblowers as well as power and hand tools.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work well as part of a team, be dependable and flexible.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 drivers’ license is required.
- Must be able to operate a vehicle equipped with standard transmission.

- Previous experience and certification as a Special Boiler Operator, or the ability to obtain certification

Our Campus Ministry team accompanies students as they integrate faith into daily life, discern their vocation, build meaningful friendships, and grow in Christian discipleship—all while navigating the challenges of university life.
We are seeking a passionate and welcoming individual to serve as a Campus Ministry Intern, helping to foster a faith-filled, supportive, and engaging environment for students. Rooted in the Catholic tradition, this role emphasizes presence, accompaniment, programming, and service. It is ideal for individuals discerning a vocation in ministry or faith-based leadership.
This part-time position (0.3 – 0.4 FTE, approximately 10–14 hours per week) offers flexible scheduling, including some evenings and weekends, and reports to the Director of Campus Ministry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be regularly present on campus to engage students in community life, within scheduled hours.
- In coordination with the Director of Campus Ministry, lead or support student-led small groups or programs (e.g., Alpha, Lectio Divina, book studies).
- Assist with planning and logistics for retreats and seasonal events (e.g., Advent, Lent), in coordination with the Director of Campus Ministry and the campus Ministry team.
- Support Sunday liturgies and other Campus Ministry gatherings.
- Mentor and support student leaders in their ministry initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates competency in relational ministry. Relevant fields might include theology, youth ministry, psychology, social work, education, nursing, or philosophy.
- Additional training or experience in theology or ministry is considered an asset.
- Experience in youth or young adult ministry is an asset.
- Experience facilitating small groups, organizing events, or working in a faith-based or campus ministry setting is preferred.
- We welcome applications from current students and recent graduates who bring transferable experience and a heart for ministry.
- Preference will be given to individuals who are actively discerning, preparing for, or currently working toward a vocation in ministry.

Campus Minister (Part-Time) - St. Joseph’s College, University of Alberta
St. Joseph’s College at the University of Alberta invites applications for a part-time Campus Minister position, beginning September 1, 2025.

As a vital member of this team, the Campus Minister helps foster a vibrant Catholic community on campus by creating opportunities for spiritual growth, leadership development, discernment, and service rooted in the Gospel.
This contracted position (0.5 FTE, approximately 18 hours per week) offers flexible scheduling, including some evening and weekend commitments. The Campus Minister reports to the Director of Campus Ministry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
In coordination with the Director of Campus Ministry and the Campus Ministry team at St. Joseph’s College, the Campus Minister will:
- Develop and lead small group faith-sharing opportunities that help students engage in meaningful conversations about faith and make their faith their own. These groups also foster Christian community and belonging.
- Identify, train, and mentor student leaders to serve in campus ministry and Christian leadership roles.
- Provide opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of Catholic teaching, discernment, prayer, and sacramental life. Support students on their RCIA journey as needed, in collaboration with the SJC Chaplain.
- Help to plan and facilitate retreats that support students’ spiritual growth, including both entry-level and deeper spiritual exploration retreats. Responsibilities include recruiting retreat teams, and accompanying students throughout the retreat experience.
- Collaborate with students on service and outreach initiatives rooted in the Church’s social justice tradition, including committee participation and engagement with campus organizations.
- Support the spiritual life of SJC Residence and contribute to other faith-based programming as needed.
- Coordinate and implement interfaith, and ecumenical outreach and engagement on campus, grounded in a Catholic perspective and a spirit of dialogue.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a field relevant to relational and theological ministry.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master of Divinity, Master of Theology (or Theological Studies), or Master of Religious Education.
- Additional training or certifications in theology or ministry are considered an asset (e.g., CPE units).
- Experience in youth or young adult ministry, especially in an academic setting, is an asset.
- Experience facilitating small groups, organizing events, or working in a faith-based or campus ministry setting is preferred.

Star of the North Retreat Centre is seeking a part-time lead cook to assist in delivery of Food Services. The Star of the North provides nourishing, healing menus, and strives for sustainable garden to table food service as part of its mission to be a place of healing, wellness and peace for those who seek retreat and renewal.
Qualities:
- Leadership and supervision experience to support the Chef in planning and delivery of service and to cover for the Chef when needed (e.g. vacation or special leave).
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
- Strong team and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm to work with the Chef and kitchen team in a collegial, harmonious environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a team with kitchen staff and Star staff.
- Level-headed, flexible and calm under pressure. Ability to sustain a safe, enjoyable work environment.
The position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- working with local food suppliers and in-house staff,
- creative cooking from scratch,
- food prep,
- portion control, and working within budget

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Lead Cook in an institutional kitchen setting, Food Safety Certificate, Police records check are required. Twenty plus hours weekly. Mostly weekend and evening shifts required, with occasional weekday shifts. Experience with retreat ministry and charitable non-profit is an asset. Salary ranges between $20-$25 per hour to begin or according to experience.
