Most of the time, we get faith wrong. Faith isn’t firstly our personal belief in God. Instead, faith is first a gift. Faith for us as Christians is what we call a “theological virtue”, meaning it isn’t dependent on me. Faith in that sense is there, whether we access it or not. Father Kris Schmidt said it’s similar to the edges of a snowboard.

Coming to know God’s Word in our lives is a bumpy and sometimes complicated road — or ski hill. Fr. Kris’s desire is that, as a priest through his homilies and video blogs, God will make Himself known to you more clearly for He is simply Beautiful.
