DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our First Annual Disc Golf Tournament!\nOn the shores of Gull Lake in Lacombe County\, Our Lady of Victory Camp maintains a unique disc golf course through a varied\, wooded area. This course\, quite unlike anything you would encounter in a city park\, has never been opened to the public before. Usually it is reserved as one of the favourite summer activities for our campers. That is about to change! \nThis August 15th we are hosting our first annual charity disc gold tournament. All proceeds will be directed towards supporting our summer programming. If you are an experienced disc-golfer with your own discs you can enter the tournament in our competitive division and use your discs. If this isn’t your speed\, you can sign up to compete in our casual division and use a provided standard frisbee\, the way we do it at camp. \nWhile waiting for your team’s turn on the course you can participate in a game of Ultimate Frisbee run by our staff\, bid in our silent auction\, and enjoy provided refreshments. \nThis event is a great way to get outside and meet new people\, all while supporting the important work of a local charitable organization. DESCRIPTION:It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that this year’s Catholic Family Life Conference is cancelled. \nThe recent heavy rainfall has severely impacted the condition of the Lac Ste. Anne Site\, making the grounds unusable for this year’s CFLC. Forecasts show heavy precipitation and thunderstorms from June 26 through July 6\, on an already saturated site\, making it a critical factor. \nThis decision was not made lightly. It comes after a great deal of prayer\, discernment\, and careful consideration of the current and forecasted conditions. While we are deeply saddened that we are unable to gather in fellowship this summer\, we trust completely in God’s timing and providence \nThank you for your continued support and prayers and assistance in promoting the Family Life Conference. We were all looking forward to an amazing weekend of faith\,  family and friendships. The decision to cancel is heart-breaking for all of us but believe God has a plan.  \nMay God bless you in great abundance.
