SUMMARY:Called & Gifted
DESCRIPTION:Since 1993\, over 200\,000 laypeople\, clergy\, and religious across the globe have embarked on the Called & Gifted™ Discernment Process to uncover how the Holy Spirit is uniquely at work in their lives. This powerful discernment process helps Christians recognize the charisms—spiritual gifts—they’ve been given not just for their own sake\, but to represent Christ and be channels of God’s goodness for others.  Charisms are not reserved for a few; they are for every baptized Christian. As the Catechism reminds us\, “All charisms ought to be exercised in the service of God” (CCC 2003). \nPART 1: Introductory Workshop\n\nThe Called and Gifted Introductory Workshop lays the foundation for the beginning of discernment. The workshop introduces Church teaching on charisms and includes taking the Catholic Spiritual Gifts Inventory. \nThroughout the workshop\, you’ll explore: \n\nThe unique role of each Catholic\, and the local parish\, in the Church’s mission to the world.\nWhy charisms are essential in helping laypeople serve others and build vibrant Christian communities.\nThe signs and characteristics of 24 common charisms.\nHow discovering and using your charisms can transform your life\, your parish\, and the world around you.\n\nRegister at https://trinitycatholic.net/called-gifted/ \n\n \n  \nIn Person Registration\nRegistration & $75 cash payment may be completed at the HTCC Parish Office during their working hours prior to September 16\, 2026.\n\nOnline Registration\nIf choosing the online option\, registration can be completed on Flocknote and the $75 fee can be made by e-transfer before September 16\,2026\, using the information below.\n\n\nGroup Sign Up\nRegistration Sign Up HERE\n\n\nE-transfer: Send to holytrinity.sg@caedm.ca  It is imperative that you include in the message box:\n\nYour First/Last Name\nC&G $75. SUMMARY:Befriending the Unknown: The Challenges and Gifts of Times of Transition
DESCRIPTION:Moving through times of change and transition is challenging. Transitions create much uncertainty and move us into a liminal space of the unknown. While uncomfortable\, this in-between time invites us into inner growth. It is a place where we meet the divine. This retreat will explore how befriending the unknown in times of transition can lead to transformation both societal and personal. Through prayer\, scripture\, small group sharing and teaching we will explore together both the challenges and gifts that times of transition bring. \nDebbie Doornbos\, B.Th. – Debbie is a retreat leader\, and spiritual director with extensive experience leading small groups\, creating and facilitating retreats and leading group process. She especially enjoys working with people through life’s many transitions. Debbie’s work has included being the Canadian Director for Sacred Art of Living\, Program Director at Providence Renewal Centre\, and a variety of contract work. She is an outdoor enthusiast\, a passion she shares with her husband. Her five grandchildren are among her greatest teachers. \nMargaret Clark\, D. Min. – Margaret is a Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner within the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care/Association canadienne de soins spirituels (CASC/ACSS). Her diversified ministry involvements have included faith community leadership\, hospital based chaplaincy and supervision\, adult education\, and spiritual direction. In each ministry context Margaret has encountered myriad experiences of transition. It is a topic of reflection and prayer that continues to deepen and grow. Margaret enjoys long walks\, fibre arts\, and sharing good food with good friends.

SUMMARY:The Path to Freedom: Preparing Spiritual leaders
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThis program is especially for clergy\, counselors\, and other spiritual leaders\nView Fee Schedule \n\nPreparing Spiritual Leaders to Companion the Fifth Step with Wisdom\, Compassion\, and Integrity\n\nNOTE: This program is not designed for people going through 12 Step programs; rather\, for pastoral professionals leading them. \nThe fifth step of 12 step programs is crucial but difficult: confession. As clergy\, pastors\, and religious and spiritual directors work with those in recovery\, the way they handle this step is crucial. It requires individuals to share the truth of their past actions and behaviors\, not only with themselves\, but also with others and a higher power. This process can be difficult\, but it is a key part of moving forward with accountability\, healing\, and self-awareness. \nLearn how to wisely facilitate this step with care under the tutelage of two very experienced leaders: \n\nARCHBISHOP EMERITUS SYLVAIN LAVOIE OMI – Sylvain is a former bishop of the Archdiocese of Keewatin-Le Pas\, was an Oblate missionary among the Indigenous peoples for decades\, speaks some Cree and has done extensive work in the area of addictions awareness. He is author of five books\, has chaired committees for the Oblates and the Western Bishops\, and serves as a board member at the Star.\nJUSTIN ROBERT has been an active member of the Recovery community for over 10 years. He had a spiritual awakening as a result of going through the program of an anonymous fellowship. After this awakening\, he worked as an in-take worker for a detox/homeless shelter and was executive director and founder of a non-profit organization. Justin participated in many interventions and 12 step calls\, as well as facilitated over 50 Big Book studies. He has sponsored over 30 people in the anonymous fellowships and was a keynote speaker for one of the fellowship’s conventions in the summer of 2023. Justin is grateful to be a recovered addict and for the ability to be of service in any capacity in the recovery community.\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Enfleshed Spirits - Discovering and Embracing the Sacred Gift of Our Bodies
DESCRIPTION:“Glorify God in Your Body”  (1 Cor. 6:20) \nOur bodies are the intimate habitat of God.  How\, then\, might we grow in relationship to our bodies\, healing wounds\, and becoming more whole and fully alive as enfleshed spirits? \nWhat if our bodies were not obstacles to our spiritual lives\, but the places where we encounter God?” \nMany of us have a complicated relationship with our bodies. We carry messages we have heard since childhood\, expectations from family and culture\, comparisons fueled by social media\, and the inevitable changes that come with illness and again. Too often we judge our bodies and treat them unkindly\, rather than befriend them. \nYet our spiritual lives are not lived apart from our bodies – they are lived in and with them. Through our bodies we love\, pray\, serve\, celebrate\, grieve and encounter God.  The mystery of the Incarnation invites us to embrace our whole selves – body\,mind\, and spirit – and to recognize our bodies as sacred places where God dwells and continues to work. \nJoin us for a weekend of reflection\, conversation\, prayer\, and embodied practices as we rediscover the wisdom\, beauty\, and holiness of our physical selves. Come as you are. Leave with a renewed appreciation of your embodied spirituality and the gift of being an enfleshed spirit! \nView Fee Schedule \n \n\n\nEvent Details:\n\n\nSandra (Sandy) Prather is a retreat leader and facilitator in the areas of faith and spirituality. Known for an infectious joy in her faith\, she has worked locally\, nationally\, and internationally leading retreats\, missions\, and workshops.
