It is a day steeped in prayer\, reflection\, and devotion.  \nFor the Portuguese community\, this feast is more than a religious observance\, it is a way to preserve cultural identity\, pass on traditions\, and gather in faith and unity across generations.  \nIn Edmonton\, the festivities bring together parishioners and visitors through Masses\, processions\, and social events such as the social feast.
