DESCRIPTION:April 23\, 9 am – 4 pm \nCorpus Christi Parish\, 2707-34 Street NW\, Edmonton \nFacilitated by: Amanda Achtman \n\nCan a Catholic who is considering euthanasia (“MAID”) receive Anointing of the Sick and Last Rites?\nCan a Catholic who dies by “MAID” receive a Catholic funeral and burial?\nWhy is it wrong to be present at a euthanasia death?\nWhat is palliative care?\n\nCome explore these questions and more! The workshop will focus on equipping clergy and laity through targeted training\, robust catechesis\, and hope-oriented pastoral approaches to counter “MAiD’s” cultural normalization\, while upholding Church teaching on the sanctity of life\, accompaniment in suffering\, and natural death. Emphasis will be on proactive\, positive witness rather than solely reactive prohibition. \nNo cost. Lunch provided. \nRegistration is required.
