World Youth Day 2023 is being held in Lisbon, Portugal

The 2022 WYD was moved to 2023 as the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted planning.
What is World Youth Day (WYD)?
The international World Youth Day celebration is an event that happens every two to three years in different locations around the globe. It draws Catholic young people from all over the world together to meet with the Pope in order to profess their faith in Jesus Christ.
Dates and location of next international World Youth Day
The next international World Youth Day will be in the summer of 2023, and it will be hosted in Lisbon, Portugal. Further details will be released in the coming months.
Who can attend?
World Youth Day is aimed mainly at people who are 18-35 years old. In this Archdiocese it is a firm policy that pilgrims must be at least 18 years of age before they can go to WYD.
Cost
At this point we expect that each pilgrim's trip will likely cost around $3,000 -- $4,000. Your parish group will also engage in fundraising that can significantly reduce the cost for each person.
Fun ways to prepare
