It doesn't matter if you've been away for a while, it doesn't matter what you have to confess. The Day of Confessions is one day a year when priests across the Archdiocese devote themselves to celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and they are ready to welcome you and guide you.

In the Greater Edmonton Area, the Day of Confessions will be hosted at five 'hub parishes,' where priests will be available for 12 hours straight:

St. Joseph Basilica  9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Corpus Christi  9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Sherwood Park 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
St. Albert Parish, St. Albert  9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
St. Thomas More  8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Please check our Day of Confessions page for schedules at other parishes across the Archdiocese.

If you can't make it today, remember that all parishes will be hosting their own penitential celebrations during Lent.

What does confession look like through the eyes of the priest? Father Roger Niedzielski of St. Joseph's Basilica sees his role as a medic in the field hospital that is the Church – healing the wounds that no one can see.
