On September 8, 2018, Sister Christina Marie Fuoco SA passed away at the age of 83 years. 

Sister Christina is survived by three sisters-in-law; Mary Fuoco, Elsie Fuoco and Annette Fuoco; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. 

Sister Christina made her first profession with the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement on April 16, 1958. As an Atonement missionary for 60 years, Sister served in catechetical, parish, pastoral and retreat ministries in both Canada and the United States. Her missionary endeavours sent her to New York State (Cobleskill, Amsterdam and Cadyville) and to Washington, DC for retreat ministry at her community's Washington Retreat House. 

In Canada, Sister Christina ministered for nine years between Castlegar and Sparwood, British Columbia, 10 years in East Saint John, New Brunswick, and a total of 33 years in the Archdiocese of Edmonton, most recently as a Pastoral Assistant at St. Francis Xavier Parish, Camrose.

We extend our condolences and prayers to the Franciscan Sisters of Atonement, her family and many friends, and pray for the repose of her soul.
