If you are a new member of Parish Pastoral Council, you have made a generous commitment of your time and talents to the parish, in the service of Christ and his Church. Now what can you expect?
It's important first to understand your role and responsibilities on parish council so that all your gifts and talents will be put to the very best use.The Archdiocese of Edmonton has developed a continuing program of formation and support for all Parish Pastoral Councils (PPCs) called Together in Ministry. It consists of workshops delivered throughout the Archdiocese, with guidance and reference provided by the Parish Pastoral Council Handbook and the Together in Ministry Manual.

Upcoming Information Workshop - open to all PPC members of the Edson Deanery
An Information workshop is organised by Edson Deanery to be held at Rose of Lima parish. All PPC members are welcome to attend.
The Information Session has been scheduled by St. Rose of Lima in Onoway for May 27th, 2017.
It will take place starting at 10:00 a.m. until approximately 2:30 p.m.

TIM Information Workshop - 4.5 hours approx.
□ Review and renew our commitment to our shared mission
□ Explain the structure and leadership of the local Church (our Archdiocese) and parish, and the role of PPCs in the Archdiocese
□ Relate the archdiocesan priorities and volunteer management program to the mission of the universal Church
□ Provide an opportunity for PPC members to become familiar with the Together in Ministry (TIM) Manual
- Discernment for Goal Setting
Goal Setting Workshop - 6 hours approx.
□ How to be good stewards of God’s gifts
□ The work of our parishes
□ The concept of consensus decision-making
□ Visioning the future of our parish
□ Setting goals to reach this vision
Workshops are presented by teams of trained volunteer facilitators.
